About French 79

French 79 is the stage name of Simon Henner, born in 1979 in Épinal, France. He produces electronic, electropop and French touch music, noted for cinematic synths and nostalgic ’80s sci-fi textures. Hits include “Diamond Veins,” “Between the Buttons,” “Hometown” and the title track “Teenagers.” Albums: Olympic (2016), Joshua (2019), TEENAGERS (2023) and sound-track Sur un fil (2024). Collaborated with Kid Francescoli, Sarah Rebecca, Vincent Delerm and Laurent Garnier. Renowned for stirring live shows and as a revivalist leader of modern French electronic music.
